Trolling around the interbutts, I came across this great demo reel. I love this style of editing. As opposed to using royalty free music and showing a standard montage of the company portfolio, Digital Kitchen goes the extra step to make their reel another project of its own. I love how the scenes glide along with the attitude of the score, while using a wide variety of clips featuring scenes that, under normal circumstances, wouldn’t fit with the hip-hop soundtrack. It’s a great show of the creative team’s ability to direct the conflicting themes into an elegant resolution.
Yeah it’s just a demo reel, but it’s a damn good one at that!
