Is the shit
I re-read through his book Victory yesterday, and let me tell you his art is like crack for the creative mind. Currently I am high on creature inspiration and want to share this with the world.
Victory takes place in the world of Dr. Grordbort’s, a place of British space colonization, hunting interstellar big game to extinction, and punching alien wankers in the face. The most striking thing about these books is Greg’s art, specifically his alien designs. They’re absolutely unique, and their biology is so outrageously bizarre meeting one would likely bewilder you so much that killing it is the most reasonable course of action. He couples these strange beings with pseudo steam-punk sci-fi technology. I can’t help but admire the time and thought put into every page of this book. The combination of easily recognizable genre themes, with landscapes and beings that defy explanation does wonders for the atmosphere of the book. Visually, the power of showing brute force human behavior with completely alien landscapes and fauna sets the tone of bewildered colonial expansion perfectly. All of this is framed within a combination of Men’s Adventure Magazine, and Sears Catalog from future.

I realize that I have neglected to mention the writing. I guarantee you will be laughing your ass off within the first five minutes of opening the book. Go buy it right now.
