Not only am I looking forward to this movie, but sweet Jesus do I love how they designed the site. That skeleton hand loading bar is fantastic. I love the way they added some interactivity with the scrolling making Norman walk, which eventually leads you to the trailer.

Oh yeah, and I’m totally seeing this when it comes out.

I’m not sure how many people have heard of For Tax Reasons, but I think it’s one of those online studios that needs more recognition. Specifically, for an animated series they started years ago and had to bring to an end due to time and finances.

For Tax Reasons is the independent animation studio of Ben Levin and Matt Burnett. Years ago, they started posting a series of videos, animated by hand and colored digitally, about the humorous exploits of a couple nerds. Sure it might sound generic, but they brought a lot of clever ideas and plot concepts to the table. This is one of those series that I would have loved to see go further, but animated shows never seem to be that profitable online.

This series is being made by a group of 21 people. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen and everyone should know about it.

Yes this is a couple years old now, but the project is on going. Every once in a while I try to tell as many new people about this because creator driven cartoons aren’t exactly common these days. So please, watch this and go support these guys.

Great Animation. Like the use of Bakshi-esque rotoscoping and retro scifi goodness

Disturbing…but pretty awesome.

Created by first-year students at Gobelins.

Another Gobelins student film.

New film out of Gobelins. Watch!

A film by Max Winston, of Flapjack fame.
